You’re probably well aware of our sordid love affair with black on black watches. Given how much we see eye to eye on these things, you’re probably also guilty of it too. Something about a timepiece that’s big, dark and handsome just says – “I’m not to be trifled with.” But usually protection of this nature (even if it’s all in your head) comes at a relatively steep price. Not with the Timex EZ Read. Everything on the watch is black (42mm case, 18mm leather band, hands and numbers) except the face – that’s a very dark (almost black) brushed dial. Because it’s hard for even Robert Downey Jr. to look good in full blackface and he was Iron Man.
