We love Unimatic for its unique style, robust construction, and creative limited-run watches and collaborations. This time, they’ve created a robust tool watch imbued with masculine style and everyday utility. The new UTB-4 is its toughest watch to date. The modest 40mm sandblasted case looks brash with its thick, fixed monoblock bezel and its no-nonsense black dial. Underneath is the Seiko VH31 quartz movement that gets an in-house designed 360° protection system for shock protection and a sweep second hand. The 2.8mm thick flat sapphire crystal gets an inner AR treatment, and lume takes the form of the C3 Super-LumiNova for easy low-light legibility. The UTB-4 also has 300 meters of water resistance, deeper than you’ll ever go. The strap is a black two-piece nylon with case-matching sandblasted stainless steel hardware. The UTB-4 is available directly from Unimatic.
