To this day, the Land Rover Series IIA is one of, if not the most iconic SUVs that has ever been produced. And it’s been out of production for half a century. Now that British electric vehicle conversion specialists Everrati finished their Electric Ford GT40 conversion, they’re free to give the Series IIA the modern upgrade it’s been lacking. In other words, gut it, rebuild it, and add modern technology–without screwing up the silhouette. They delivered in spades. The zero-emission upgrade includes a 60kWh battery pack outputting 150 brake horsepower and 300 NM torque with regenerative braking to all four wheels. The maximum range is approximately 100 miles versus the original 151 on gas, but the 0-60 time is only 13 seconds compared to the original’s 23. Plus, you know, zero emissions, significantly reduced fuel costs, and have you seen this completely murdered-out exterior with upgraded leather interior? Everrati is taking pre-orders for the vehicle now.
