Ben Clymer’s revered watch site Hodinkee has paired up with Swatch to create a fun watch duo that showcases two very affordable timepieces that run counter to its typical high-end phonological coverage. The new limited edition SISTEM51 and a smaller FLIK FLAK watch geared towards budding young watch-lovers, both clad in white plastic cases with white dials and black/blue numerals, markers, and hands. The adult version gets a 42mm case that houses the SISTEM51 Swatch proprietary automatic movement with a 90-hour power reserve, while its smaller 32mm mate gets an impressive Swiss ETA Quartz movement. The Summer Edition watch even has a see-through caseback showing off the attractive movement, while the kid’s version boasts the ability to be tossed in the washing machine while housed in nothing more than a sock. Both are impressively affordable at $170 and $40, respectively.
