Voxan Motors Wattman

Voxan Motors Wattman

It takes a brave soul to set a land speed record, especially when it’s only on two wheels. The French-made Voxan Motors Wattman aims to do just that next year, and its specs show that it has the stuff. The all-electric motorcycle is a specialized version of their 203 horsepower ultra-high-performance superbike. The heavily modified Wattman generates 367 horsepower to propel the 661-pound motorcycle to speeds of over 205 mph (to break the electric motorcycle record), and the slippery bodywork aids the effort. Piloted by two-time WSBK and four-time 250cc World Champion, Max Biaggi, the Wattman will attempt to beat the 204.484 mph record set by Ryuji Tsuruta in 2019 on his Mobitec EV-02A at the Bonneville Salt Flats in Utah. The Voxan event was supposed to occur this past June, but it has been moved to July of 2021 due to the current pandemic crisis. The site will be the Salar de Uyuni salt flat in Bolivia, and history could very well be made.
