Just when you thought your truck topper was cool, Alaskan Tim Johnson has seriously one-upped just about everyone. He purchased a used Ford F-350 pickup truck for $13,000 and spent the same amount building his dream mobile home for its long bed. After three months of building it with his own two hands, the small wooden cabin is replete with couches, a range, flat-screen TV, toilet, and even its own back porch with retractable steps. The F-350 has been blessed with an engine block heater to warm up the diesel, and the elevated suspension with BFGoodrich All-Terrain tires make it capable off-pavement where the cabin fits right in. Johnson takes the big diesel rig and accompanying home out with him for weeks on end and may just have coined the phrase, “A man’s truck is his castle.”
