European e-bike startup Cake first made waves with the Kalk Electric Dirt Bike that was designed for light off-road performance, a top speed of around 50 mph and what could only be described as fun torque and acceleration figures. Their most recent release, Osa, might be billed as a clean and efficient commuter with multiple configurations that allow you to travel with a number of different loadouts–and that’s certainly true, don’t get us wrong–but it keeps the quick, speedy and fun aspects that made us love their original offering so much. The Osa options use a 10 kW peak motor that drives a gates carbon belt drive, double crown suspension fork, high-quality spoke rims and over 1,000 possible build combinations that allow you to customize the e-bike to meet all of your very specific needs. Deliveries start in March of 2020, so you have a little time to dream up your perfect build before Cake makes the e-bike of your dreams a reality.
