On any given day, there are probably at least two dozen vehicles up on Bring A Trailer that we want to add to the stable. Our current infatuation is with old school Broncos, and this modified 1969 example that’s currently for sale checks almost all the boxes. This U15-series Bronco is not completely stock. It wasn’t completely restored frame-off. It has a number of new additions and modifications that many purists will scoff at. And yet, we still want it because it’s like eighty percent of the way there. For starters, there’s the orange over black paint job that makes it impossible to ignore regardless of where you park it. Under the fiberglass hood you’ll find a fuel-injected 302ci V8 mated to a C4 three-speed automatic transmission. It also has a Dana 44 front axle, ARB air locker, Fox shocks, four-wheel disc brakes, a 3.5″ lift kit and 15″ black steelies wrapped in 35″ BFGoodrich Mud-Terrain tires. They even fitted it with an air-con system from Tom’s Bronco Parts for those days it’s just too hot to go topless. It definitely needs a little TLC in some places, but this is a project you could finish in months instead of years.
