Løvtag Tree House Hotel in Denmark

Løvtag Tree House Hotel in Denmark

There are few things in life that will transport you back to your childhood as quickly as spending a night in a tree house. Thankfully for all of us, there are plenty of modern, grown up tree house hotels popping up all over the world–like the recently opened Løvtag Tree House Hotel in Denmark. Years ago, local Rasmus Lybæk (had an idea to built treetop cabins in the forest that surrounds the farm he grew up. Designer and architect Sigurd Larsen brought the Løvtag vision to life by creating the first of many minimalist cabins mounted around 26 feet up the tree. The overall structure is akin to two superimposed squares that resemble a compass rose, which allows the space to be maximized for use by up to 4 people. Inside, it has two sleeping areas, a kitchenette, living and dining areas, bathroom (complete with outdoor shower) and a rooftop terrace you can use to observe your natural surroundings. The first Løvtag tree house cabin is already for rent at a rate of $415/night.
