Don’t call the compact Sony RX100 VII a point-and-shoot. The small powerhouse packs a big tech punch. It was built for creatives and delivers the goods with rich SLR capabilities like a Single Burst Driving Shooting Mode, an external microphone port, and what’s known as Real-Time Eye Auto-Focus that has 425 phase- and contrast-detect auto-focus points for the ultimate in quality photography. What’s more, the impressive built-in AI Real-Time Tracking allows you to tap on a person to remain in focus during the shoot. Oh, and works on animals, too. The combination of a stacked CMOS image sensor and the newest-gen BIONZ X image processor that allow you to take black-out free shots at 20 fps with auto-focus and auto-exposure. It’s processed at 60 times per second, so you can imagine the results. The camera will go on sale sometime next month.
