We’ve said it before, and we’ll say it again. As much as we’re all for modern trucks and SUVs, there’s nothing like the old school vintage SUV options that came before. Toyota is the perfect example of this. Yeah, sure, you could pick up a modern Highlander, 4Runner, RAV4 or an FJ Cruiser, but it still won’t hold a candle to this 1992 Toyota Bandeirante OJ55 crew cab pickup that’s currently up for sale on Bring A Trailer. Originally produced for the Brazilian military and refurbished in Brazil prior to being imported into the US in late 2018. Finished in Highway Green Pearl paint and a tan canvas soft top over a tan vinyl interior. Mercedes-Benz 3.8L diesel inline-four paired to a 4-speed manual transmission and 2-speed transfer case. In short, it’s been restored and refurbished to a condition that’s probably better than it was when it rolled off the assembly line. There isn’t much time left on the current Bring A Trailer auction, so get your bids in now if you’re interested.
