Deus Ex Machina Goof Bike

Australian bike builder Deus Ex Machina is one of our favorite custom moto shops around, and their wares range between fun and menacing. Their latest offering easily plays in the former camp, and it’s appropriately named the Goof Bike. Less motorcycle and more wheeled jungle gym, the Goof is pure fun and ridiculousness wrapped in a tiny motorcycle that looks like an Orangutan may have ridden it at one time. Alternative artist Paul McNeil and Deus Ex Machina mechanic, Jeremy “Frenchie” Tagand were the masterminds behind the Goof, and it’s based on the already small and playful Suzuki RV90. In addition to the huge knobby tires for sandy beach runs, there’s a giant surfboard rack that acts as a sunshade and incorporates a small padded seatback for your passenger, ape hanger bars, blanket straps, and what appears to be a paint job inspired by a Bomb Pop popsicle and the 4th of July. Its juvenile aesthetic is brilliantly silly and beckons the coming endless days of summer in just the right way.
