This Incredibly Rare 1964 Ferrari 275 GTB Prototype Is Heading to Auction

We’re all for the technology, design and and construction innovations in the world of motoring that are consistently making modern cars faster, lighter and more impressive than anything that’s come before. But for our money (if we had that kind of money), you can keep the Ferrari 488 Pistas, LaFerraris and 812 Superfasts of the world because we’re always opting for one of the most gorgeous cars ever made–the Ferrari 275 GTB. Any 275 GTB would do, but this 1964 Ferrari 275 GTB Prototype would definitely be at the top of the list. The first Ferrari 275 GTB ever built, this factory prototype stayed in Modena for testing and development by the Ferrari Experimental Department before being raced in the 1966 Monte Carlo Rally and then going unseen for the past 25 years. The 1964 Ferrari 275 GTB Prototype will roll across the block during the Gooding & Company Scottsdale auction in January of 2019 where it’s estimated to fetch between $6,000,000 and $8,000,000. Given the ludicrous amounts of cash vintage Ferraris are bringing in these days, we wouldn’t be surprised if something as unique as this prototype pulled in even more.
