Retyre Modular Bike Tires

Unless you happen to live in a relatively flat area with a temperate climate, it’s almost impossible to ride just one bike year-round without multiple sets of tires. You need road tires for everyday use, off-road tires for adventure, all-terrain tires for gravel and studded tires for winter conditions. Or, you can skip all of that nonsense and get a pair of Retyre Modular Bike Tires. Retyre uses a single standard base tire with one half of a zipper built in that allows you to zip on different tire skins when necessary. The Retyre One is your standard road tire in 26″/27.5″/28″/29″ sizes for your basic everyday riding. When the conditions or the ride warrant a different setup, all you have to do is unroll the Trail-X off-road skin, all-terrain gravel skin or the studded winter skin, attach one to each of the tires, and ride. It takes less than a minute for the change, and the skins are so secure that it feels like you’re riding on normal tires. Retyre should be dropping early next year with prices starting at about $150 for a pair of the modular tires and one skin option.
