At this point, it seems like we have enough smart home devices in the house to facilitate a NASA launch. Amazon has the lion’s share of the market right now with its enormous collection of Amazon Echo devices, but Google’s aiming to take a bigger bite out of those figures with the new Google Home Hub. Much like the Echo Show, it’s basically a smart home command center that also has a display. The Google Home Hub might have a smaller screen than the Echo Show, but it makes up for it in plenty of other ways. It’s significantly cheaper than its competition. In terms of functionality, the software is more polished and filled with all the Google convenience you’ve come to expect. It also works as a full dashboard for all your connected devices so you can see and control lights, media, cameras, locks and the thermostat with buttons or your voice.
