Thanks to relatively cheap flights from many major airports in the U.S., Iceland has become quite the tourist destination as of late. If you’re looking to go and are digging around for recommendations on things to do, no name will pop up as often as the Blue Lagoon. The problem with that recommendation? Everyone else going to Iceland sees it as well, and that means you’re sharing the geothermal spa with many others. That is, of course, unless you book a stay at the Retreat Hotel’s Lagoon Suite. The modern, minimal space not only offers you incredible views of the Icelandic landscape, but you even get your own private part of the Blue Lagoon. From there you can treat yourself to an in-water massage and other restorative treatments. The large windows allow for a blending of indoors and outdoors, which is great news because this outdoors is otherworldly.
