The Nintendo Entertainment System. Atari. Super Nintendo. Retro gaming is, without question, extremely hot right now. If those names aren’t retro enough for you, however, you’re in luck. Intellivision is coming back. Are you old enough to remember Intellivision, the gaming system with a controller that was half original iPod and half mobile phone? Originally released in 1979, it offered gamers what could best be described as the polar opposite of God of War, games like BurgerTime, Pitfall!, and, the very directly named, Baseball. While the new system doesn’t sound like it’s a reissue of the original, the Intellivision team does say it will be “retro-inspired.” We’ll await more details, but we really hope we have some Dig Dug in our future.
