For as long as we can remember, Rimowa has been one of the gold standards in luggage. That could be changing in hearts and minds everywhere with the release of the Bank Collection designed by Marc Sadler for Italian brand Fabbrica Pelletterie Milano (FPM). The ribbed aluminum construction with supple leather accents is immediately familiar, but the insides of the special editions are outfitted very differently than traditional luggage, with options for a portable kitchen, workstation and bed. That’s right, the Bank Collection includes a cookstation (cooktop, refrigerator, utensil and storage drawers), workstation (desk and folding chair) and bedstation (slatted sleeping surface and pad) that are all designed to be carried on the go like normal luggage and deployed easily at a moment’s notice. If you don’t really need a portable workstation, bed, or tiny kitchen, the Bank Collection also includes more traditional wheeled carry-ons and trunks in a variety of sizes that are built with the same luxury and attention to detail.
