As we push forward with electric cars, it’s become apparent that cars are merely one of the first steps in electric-powered transportation. As Tesla gets ready to unveil its truck in a few days, we get word from Thomas Built Buses that there’s another important electric vehicle on the horizon: the school bus. Jouley is an emissions-free, noise pollution-free, and fossil fuel-free school bus from Daimler (Thomas Built Buses is the North American subsidiary of the well-known maker) set to hit cul-de-sacs and townships by 2019. Jouley can carry up to 81 children and boasts a range of up to 100 miles. It charges fully in around eight hours, so it can be plugged in after dropping the kids off and ready to go by the time the final bell sounds.
