When you ask people about essential, must-watch Sci-Fi films, Blade Runner is always one of the first films to get mentioned. It’s just one of those films. As you’re probably already aware, they’re making a sequel, Blade Runner 2049. Set thirty years after the events of the original, this film is a continuation of the story of the original, with Harrison Ford reprising his iconic role. The Blade Runner 2049 Making Of Featurette dispels any remaining fears we had about this movie possibly being an unnecessary reboot. Ridley Scott himself said that there wasn’t enough time to tell the whole story in the hours he had the first time around, so if this is what he needs to finish the original, we’re fine with that. With little spots from Harrison Ford and Ryan Gosling to Ridley Scott and Denis Villeneuve, the short touches on what everyone’s bringing to the table and why. We’re even more excited about the October 6 release than we were before.
