If that first cup of joe isn’t waking you up quickly enough, why not hop out of bed and immediately jump in the lake? That’s a possibility with the Dream/Dive Platform situated on Bobs Lake, Ontario. The 64-square-foot space is perfectly named and combines a space with a large, comfy bed for dreaming and stargazing with a cantilevered diving platform that’s ready at a moment’s notice. Built as a collaborative weekend project at the family cottage, Dream/Dive uses salvaged materials, lumber, screen, local rocks, tent canvas and a clever minimal design to protect you from the elements and the bugs while you’re enjoying your time off the grid. The only thing it’s missing is a rope on the end of the diving board that you can use to climb back up or swing off of, but you can just add one of those when you build something similar at your lake house.
