55 years after the production of the first A110, Renault’s recently resurrected Alpine brand is back with an all new version of the A110. Launched with a premiere edition of only 1,955 cars, the Alpine A110 is a gorgeous roadster with heritage DNA and styling all its own, while still drawing comparisons to Alfa’s 4C, Porsche’s Cayman and even the 944. The evocative design and sleek styling don’t stop at the exterior, because inside you’ll find a cockpit that looks like it was ripped straight from a fighter jet before being stripped down and cleaned up for car use. Rumors are flying that the new A110 could have a 1.8L turbo with up to 300 horsepower capable of doing 0-60 mph in under five seconds, but until Alpine “officially” unveils the car at the Geneva Motor Show on March 7 there aren’t finalized details available about the performance specs and the price. Before all of you in the States gets your hopes up, Alpine doesn’t have plans at this point to release the car outside of Europe and Japan. We can’t wait to see Clarkson flog this beauty around the Eboladrome.
