Part beach cruiser and part safari wagon, this 1981 Toyota Land Cruiser FJ45 is the latest in a long line of excellent builds from The FJ Company. The vehicle that once served a national university, a foundation for troubled teens and even the Colombian National Guard was frame-off restored to return it to the better than new condition you see here. Designed and built for some good, old-fashioned family fun on the new owner’s Texas ranch, this rare beast is packing a 3F engine upgrade, automatic transmission, Toyota OEM Beige paint job, custom soft top and upgraded exterior lighting. Custom vinyl upholstery trimmed in tan was applied to all three sections of seats, and the interior was also given upgrades in the sound and air conditioning departments. In other words, The FJ Company did what they always do. They took a beautiful, vintage machine and modernized it without sacrificing anything that made it cool in the first place.
