The first watch we ever saw from Classic Engineering was handmade by a student at Swarthmore College. That student, originally from Bogotá, had a passion for the intersection of design and engineering that materialized in one seriously fantastic timepiece, and it’s only gotten better over time. Classic Engineering’s VARIO watches are minimalistic, svelte, and built with the kind of components and quality you’d expect from a watch with a price tag a few times higher. Swiss movement. Made in the USA body. Sapphire crystal. Interchangeable leather strap from Amsterdam’s Guild of Holland. Maintenance and repair without an expiration date. The only difficult decision is deciding if you want a silver, gold or black ceramic-coated case.
