Depending how old you were the first time you saw any of the Star Wars movies, your options for recreating epic lightsaber battles with family, friends and kids from around the neighborhood were limited to sticks and shitty “licensed” toys built with plastic that extended like police batons. Those are still options, but Wired dropped details on a bunch of really good, custom saber manufacturers like Vader’s Vault, Ultra Sabers, Acme Sabers, Starfall Sabers and Sabers Forever that are creating lightsabers that don’t require a shitton of post-production work to get lights, sounds and cool looking battle effects. In other words, pick up a custom saber from any of the manufacturers and you and your friends can be relieving your favorite duels from a galaxy far, far away, or creating new epic fight scenes in a galaxy much closer to home.
