After years eagerly awaiting Elon Musk’s next super vehicle, Tesla finally delivers the Model X, the “safest, fastest and most capable sport utility vehicle in history.” And while that’s a quote directly from the company, given Musk’s track record, we’re giving them the benefit of the doubt. The all-electric Model X seats seven, boasts a range of 250 miles, and features little niceties like an auto deploying rear spoiler, power-folding mirrors, and a towing capacity of 5,000 pounds. Musk also boasts that the Model X scores perfectly in every safety category. That’s the boring stuff. What you really want to know about this super SUV is that, with the Ludicrous Speed Upgrade, it can go 0-60 in an Italian sportscar-mocking 3.2 seconds. And, as the gullwing doors suggest, we wouldn’t be surprised if it can even travel through time. Head over to Tesla’s site to read more about the insanity.
