Boogie Dice cram a vibration motor, rechargeable battery, tilt sensor, microphone and 3 LEDs into a 25mm package—for reference purposes, 16mm is the most common dice size, and 25mm is roughly 1″—that weighs 15 grams. Why do you need all of those cool pieces of technology in the dice you’re going to use for Monopoly, Craps or the Bots Battleground game the creators made exclusively for the dice? Because they roll themselves. Boogie Dice are sound activated, so they’ll start to “Boogie” when you clap your hands, snap your fingers or bang the table. They can also be programmed to: act as a timer to indicate the end of the turn, randomize for an extra level of surprise, or activate as soon as they’re picked up. They’ll roll for up to 30 mins continuously and can be recharged in an included charging station that also doubles as an arena. These dice are so cool they’ll actually make you want to play Yahtzee.
