Instagram’s New “Layout” App Makes Photo Collages

Layout is a new app that lets you combine multiple images collage style and it’s from the makers of the best photo sharing app on the market—Instagram. The idea of collaging photos isn’t new, and this isn’t the first app to do it, but Layout improves the process significantly. For starters, you begin looking at your photos instead of immediately picking a layout, which allows you to better control the entire composition of the collage. It’s easy to add more than two photos, rearrange grid lines and even flip and mirror pictures to tell the best possible story. It also has a ‘Photo Booth’ button that instantly adds snaps to a layout and a ‘Faces’ button that only lets you select pictures with faces in them. Like its predecessor, Layout is free … but it’s also iOS only for the next few months.
