Dropping a cool thou on a watch is not something to be taken lightly. But based on our thoughts–and those of our contemporaries–if you’re going to do it you should definitely put the new Xetum Kendrick collection at the top of the consideration list. Based on a modern take of a vintage automotive dial, these watches look like they’d be just as at home on a wrist in the board room as they would be on a beach or on the hand during a high speed car chase. Each of the three dials (white with black markings, black with white markings and black with teal markings) is day/date and functionally as clean as you could ever want in a watch. In our opinion, the ETA 2824-2 Swiss automatic (which is also viewable from the back thanks to the sapphire crystal) powered watch is the perfect example of clean, cool design.
