The latest release from Italian watchmaker Unimatic is the Modello Quattro ref. U4-A. The watch is significant because it marks a new chapter for the brand and delivers a model based on the Modello Uno watches but with a fixed bezel, as opposed to previous Modello Uno versions with unidirectional dive bezels. The matte black dial gets bright C3 SuperLuminova on the hands and markers, and the U4-A’s minute hash marks move the markers closer to the center giving the dial a smaller appearance. The olive green NATO strap goes well with the tank-like look of the U4-A. It also gets new drilled lugs, which makes strap changes a cinch. The 300-meter depth rating matches the Modello Uno line, so it’s still dive-friendly. The U4-A is for sale now at a very reasonable $560.
