Swiss watch brand Rado is known for its vintage and very original ovular cased DiaStar timepiece and it’s done up a 60th Anniversary Edition of the famous DiaStar by Zurich-based designer Alfredo Häberli. The minimalist watch retains the classic shape and reinterprets the watch’s famous twelve-facet sapphire crystal by reducing the number to six. The case is revolutionary by using a proprietary alloy known as Ceramos made of 90% titanium carbide that’s tougher and lighter than the original DiaStar’s tungsten carbide. Timekeeping is managed by a gold-plated automatic movement. The watch comes with a stainless steel Milanese mesh bracelet and a grey fabric strap.
