Redefining the classic dive watch design for the modern age is no small task, but Marin Instruments has pulled it off in high style with its new Skin-Diver. The iconic cues are still there, from the markers and hands to the unidirectional dive bezel. But modern touches like lumed trim in the first quarter of the PVD bezel, a square marker at the 9 o’clock position, and an integrated rubber strap set it apart from the pack. The Skin-Diver’s case is nicely sized at 39mm, and the movement is a Swiss Sellita SW200-1 mechanical automatic with 38 hours of power reserve. Depth rating is 200 meters, qualifying it for skin diving and moderate scuba diving. It comes with an extra Maratac Zulu strap. The watch will be limited to 300 units for the black Standard model and 200 units for the white Polar model.
