The DOXA Army watch is a legend from 50 years ago and pretty tough to find these days in any condition. It was commissioned by the Swiss Army and was one of the first black oxidized stainless steel watches created. It was meant to reduce glare on missions and became a cult favorite among horophiles. DOXA just delivered a gloriously stealthy reissue that uses DOXA’s SUB 300T as the base watch and employes a modern black ceramic case that copies the original while also increasing its scratch-resistance and durability. The famous dial is replicated with its sand beige dial, fat rectangular markers, and large orange hands. There’s plenty of Super-LumiNova lume, a titanium crown and caseback, and a black ceramic bezel. The limited-edition (100 pieces) comes in a camo zipper pouch along with an extra NATO strap to swap out with the excellent FKM rubber strap.
