Brightly-colored watch dials are all the rage these days, and Citizen is throwing its hat into the ring with the introduction of the NJ015 Tsuyosa (“strength” in Japanese). The 40mm stainless steel case gets accentuated by five different dial colors. There are the standard black and navy blue dials, peppered by vivid green, yellow, and turquoise choices. We were surprised to see the absence of pink, a popular choice these days. The Tsuyosa also gets a handsome integrated bracelet, a shock at this price point, as well as a 4 o’clock crown, a cyclops date window, and polished center links. Timekeeping is conducted by Citizen’s in-house mechanical automatic caliber 8210 with 40 hours of power reserve. There’s even a transparent caseback where you can watch the action. At $450 a pop, you can get more than one. We consider it to be one of the best values in the watch world today, and it’s available now directly from Citizen.
