The watch has an illustrious history of its own, having been worn by Apollo mission commander Gary Scott on his moonwalk and Lunar Rover drive. This week, Bulova is commemorating Apollo 15’s half-century mark with a special version of the Lunar Pilot Chronograph. And it looks dressed to the nines. The watch gets updated with a more modern look that doesn’t sacrifice the spirit of the original. Here, the case is made from Grade 5 titanium instead of stainless steel, and the anniversary caseback, crown, pushers, and subdials get clad in gold. The special grey leather nato strap matches the grey dial and case perfectly. Only 5,000 will be made, so collectors should move on it quickly. Pre-orders received now will ship on October 8th.
