‘The French Dispatch’ Trailer

‘The French Dispatch’ Trailer

Wes Anderson has made an entire career out of being imitated but never duplicated. Whether it’s the style tips to steal from Wes Anderson and his movies to the iconic and classic actors he always seems to cast for his characters, or the unconventional story lines and unique style that make his films immediately recognizable, Anderson is an auteur that can only be challenged by a few others. The trailer for his latest film, The French Dispatch, has officially dropped, and it’s as true to his form and style as they come. This latest film is a showcase of Anderson’s love for The New Yorker and journalism in general, and is based on an American newspaper operating in 20th-century France. As you might expect from an Anderson flick, it includes the usual cast of characters along with some fresh blood: Bill Murray, Owen Wilson, Frances McDormand, Adrien Brody, Tilda Swinton, Timothée Chalamet, Benicio del Toro, Jeffrey Wright, and Elisabeth Moss, among others. The French Dispatch hits theaters nationwide on July 24th.
