Ernest Cline’s 2011 sci-fi epic, Ready Player One, is one of our favorite books in recent memory, and we have documentation to prove that. So it should come as no surprise that we’ve eagerly been awaiting a trailer for Steven Spielberg’s big screen adaption. Well, the wait is over. Here is your first look at the film about a scarily believable dystopian future, one where a virtual world is as important as the one we’ve all lived in. When Wade Watts sets his sights on an easter egg hidden in this virtual world by its creator, he quickly rockets to fame, for better or worse, in both worlds. Sprinkled with pop culture references (see how many you can spot in the trailer), the film will deliver both a sense of nostalgia and an existential crisis to viewers. The film hits theaters March 30, 2018. Get ready to dip into the OASIS.
