The next time you will see those skills put on display is August 4, when her film Detroit hits theaters. The film stars John Boyega, John Krasinski, and Kaitlyn Dever and centers on the civil unrest in Detroit in the summer of 1967, after a police raid of an unlicensed bar. The anger erupted into one of our country’s deadliest riots, which lasted for the better part of a week. Based on this trailer and Bigelow’s track record, we can tell you this is a can’t miss.
