‘BIG TIME’ Is a Documentary About Legendary Architect Bjarke Ingels

‘BIG TIME’ Is a Documentary About Legendary Architect Bjarke Ingels

BIG TIME is an upcoming documentary film that focuses on Bjarke Ingels and the Bjarke Ingels Group (aka BIG) that he’s the principal of. If you’re not a design and architecture nerd, Ingels is an architectural wünderkind with a list of credits ranging from Via 57 West in New York to the Danish National Maritime Museum in Denmark. His big ideas, larger than life personality and focus on the human nature of design have generated numerous books, talks, documentaries and features (check out his episode of Abstract: The Art of Design on Netflix if you haven’t already) but the eerie trailer for BIG TIME alludes to a darker and more dangerous side that hasn’t previously been reported by the media. What exactly all that means remains to be seen, so we’ll be waiting for the release as anxiously as you are. BIG TIME will premiere during the Copenhagen Architectural Festival on April 26, with a national release in Denmark on May 3. Hopefully the film makes it stateside sometime shortly thereafter.
