Banksy Revealed More Details About the Shredding of ‘Girl With Balloon’

A couple weeks ago, renowned artist Banksy popped up on news outlets all over the world because his Girl With Balloon painting self-destructed after selling for $1.4 million at a Sotheby’s auction. Turns out there’s actually more to the story, which is why Banksy released the new “Shredding the Girl and Balloon–The Director’s half cut” video you see here. The most ridiculous thing about the entire situation is that, in an effort to make a statement about his works being sold at auction, Banksy also created a viral piece of performance art. Because of that, art experts have said that the piece–now being called Love is in the Bin–is actually worth more now than it was intact.
