There’s absolutely no denying the fact that Francis Ford Coppola’s Apocalypse Now is one of the best war movies ever made. Scratch that. It’s true, but Apocalypse Now is one of the best movies period. In order to celebrate the 40th anniversary of the visionary Vietnam War epic inspired by “The Heart of Darkness,” the film has been remastered in 4K Ultra HD. You’ll be able to pick up a copy to watch at home over and over, but the big news here is that Apocalypse Now Final Cut is also heading back to the giant screen in the not too distant future. Check out the remastered version in the trailer above. Apocalypse Now Final Cut will be playing in select theaters nationwide starting August 15th, and the 4K Ultra HD Combo Pack will be available on August 27th.
