Anthony Bourdain’s Kitchen Confidential scared us out of the restaurant business for life. With Äscher, a restaurant located in the Swiss Alps, for sale, we’re reconsidering our stance. Äscher was purchased by Nicole and Bernhard Knechtle-Fritsche in 2014, but as the restaurant received more and more press for its incredible location and stunning views, guests showed up in droves and the duo became overwhelmed with what was supposed to be a relaxing endeavor. So they’re handing over the keys to somewhat up for the task of serving up Hefeweizen and Spätzle to hungry and thirsty adventurers. The visiting season ends on November 4, at which time the pair will put the restaurant up for sale.
