We won’t even pretend that we don’t find ourselves traveling with a backup battery for our electronics more often than not. We need constant stimulation and that requires a significant amount of juice for our iPhones, Droids and iPads. Even when you’re venturing out into the wilderness to unplug your electronic devices have legitimate uses: GPS, pictures, music, etc. If you plan, or don’t plan, to be away from an outlet for a significant period of time, you need a backup battery. Why not get one that’s housed in a compact, waterproof, nearly indestructible 1,000 lumen LED flashlight made of aluminum? And the stainless steel bezel is ridged for tactical purposes. You might not be able to bludgeon someone to death with it like the old school MagLites, but the ZeroHour is a hell of a lot more useful in the long run.
