Miracle Workers is an upcoming 2019 TBS comedy based on Simon Rich’s novel What’s in God’s Name. [If you’re not familiar with Rich’s work, he’s one of the youngest writers ever hired by SNL, a staff writer for Pixar and has appeared in the pages of McSweeney’s, GQ, Mad, NPR and the list goes on.] Miracle Workers is a show about a low level angel played by Daniel Radcliffe who’s trying to fix humanity despite the fact that his boss, God, is basically on permanent vacation. Now, this isn’t our standard fare because we’re much more into the blood, violence and other bits you’d find on a premium cable or streaming network, but we’re going to give this a try for one reason–Steve Buscemi is playing God. We always knew Steve Buscemi was God, but now he actually gets to play him in a TV show. Check out the preview and queue up your DVRs. Miracle Workers premieres February 12, 2019.
