‘The Beach Bum’ Official Red Band Trailer

If you thought James Franco as Alien in Spring Breakers was a crazy performance, wait until you see this trailer for Harmony Korine’s upcoming film The Beach Bum. Matthew McConaughey plays Moondog (where do these names come from), a “rebellious burnout who only knows how to live life by his own rules.” Moondog is currently in the process of: writing the next great American novel, partying like it’s his job, going to court (and probably going to jail), flying in a plane with a blind man, and doing copious amounts of drugs with a coke-addicted parrot and an ensemble cast that includes Snoop Dogg, Isla Fisher, Jonah Hill, Jimmy Buffett and Martin Lawrence. If the movie lives up to the hype of the trailer, this could very well be a whole new generation’s Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas. One thing’s for sure, it’s definitely going to be alright, alright, alright. The Beach Bum hits theaters March 29th.
