See the Lexus Hoverboard In Action

A couple months ago, Lexus teased us with the mysterious unveiling of a “working” hoverboard. But with years of disappointment since the moment Marty McFly piqued our interest, we figured it best to wait and see. Well, now we can see. Lexus just released the first video of its hoverboard, SLIDE, in action, and, we’ll admit, it’s pretty sweet. Okay, so it’s not the hoverboard of your Back to the Future dreams—it’s magnetic and follows a track—but it does go fairly fast and it’s the closest thing we’ve got to what we’ve been imagining. So, while it seems we’re still a ways away from hoverboards we can purchase and ride in the street, we can still enjoy some progress.
