This past December, we shared the Teaser Trailer for Peter Jackson’s Mortal Engines, though, admittedly, it was very much a teaser. Still, the concept and people involved were enough to get us hyped. Now, six months later, we have the Official Trailer, and it’s pretty damn crazy. Set some time in the future, mankind now lives among mobile cities that traverse the planet, gobbling up smaller towns along the way. There’s also a story about a fugitive and the man she forms an unlikely alliance with, but it’s really the bonkers cities that get us. The film’s based on Philip Reeve’s 2001 book of the same name and packs steampunk elements along with somewhat of a Matrix vibe. We’re gonna trust Peter Jackson here and check Mortal Engines out when it hits theaters this December.
