If you grew up in the ’90s and rode a skateboard, the trailer for Mid90s is about to deliver a heavy dose of nostalgia. Jonah Hill’s directorial debut follows Stevie (Sunny Suljic), a 13-year-old living in 1990s Los Angeles, finding himself among a group of friends who love to skate. Hill also wrote the spec script for the film, which makes sense since he was a teenager in the ’90s living in Los Angeles himself. From the first trailer, it looks like your classic coming-of-age film, only one that tackles the ’90s slacker era with some smarts. Mid90s hits theaters on October 19.
