Living off the Grid in Paradise is the latest Great Big Story that focuses on Warrick Mitchell, a man that lives in a place that’s a four days walk from the nearest road and is only accessible via aircraft, foot or, if weather permits, boat. The man “Alone in Paradise” lives in New Zealand’s oldest and largest national park. It covers over 12k square kilometers but is home to only a few dozen people. From rainwater collection to fishing and hunting, Mitchell lives off the land with some respites for surfing or kayaking. It’s an interesting way to live and one that, all things considered, we’d consider thanks to its inimitable beauty. Check out the full Great Big Story.
