Berthil van Beek is a LEGO enthusiast that converted the Akiyuki Marble Run into a stand alone Great Ball Contraption made entirely from LEGO pieces. If none of that makes any sense—don’t worry, we’re with you—it’s basically an incredibly complicated perpetual motion machine that rockets LEGO soccer balls and basketballs through a winding roller coaster or tracks and accelerators at 1,000 RPMs. They call these ridiculous inventions “Great Ball Contraptions,” and this one is absolutely mesmerizing. We can’t even imagine the amount of time and effort that went in to creating this, but we’re happy that it’s finally finished so we can watch it on repeat in complete awe.
